There is a famous Legend about how Rome was made.
It is the Legend of Romulus and Remus.................

Rhea gave birth to twin boys and named them Romulus and Remus.

Their wicked Uncle Amulius wanted to be King and he was afraid that the twins would try to take the throne away from him.

Amulius ordered his soldiers to throw the babies in to the river in the hope they would drown.

But the twins were found by a she-wolf and she looked after them until a shephard found them and took them into his home. and raised them as his own.

When Romulus and Remus grew older they discovered who they really were and they both wanted to be King. They killed their evil Uncle and decided to build their own city.

Romulus and Remus could not decide who should be King and they argued over it and fought each other. in the end Romulus killed Remus and named his city Rome after his dead brother.

And that is how Rome is said to have got its name!
