Look at what we have been doing........

We had a fanatastic day out at Howletts Zoo this term. It was a beautiful day and saw a lot of animals out enjoying the sunshine.

As we are studying about Rivers this term we went to visit the River Darenth in Eynesford. We took our nets to fish with but it was a rainy day so we did not catch much!

We were very lucky to be invited to Orchards Academy for a P.E session. We learnt football skills and had a game at the end. Thank you very much Orchards Academy.

To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee we played games and had a picnic.

On Friday 30th March we held a small coffee morning and concert for parents to come along and see what we have been learning this term. Miss Link has been teaching us to play the Piano and the Ukulele. We sang some songs and put on a great performance to the parents and teachers. A big thank you to everybody that came along to support us and to Miss Link who has been working hard to teach us and to all the children that took part.

Ed's Diner in Bluewater kindly invited us to their restaurant and gave us lots of yummy food to eat. We are studying the book, The Perfect Hamburger and Ed's Diner definately does have the perfect hamburger!

We joined in with Sport Relief 2012 and walked the extra mile. We sent out sponsor forms and we raised a fantastic £226!

We went on a trip to Horton Kirby Environmetal Centre to learn all about World War 2. We had a fantastic day and learnt lots about life in the war and Anderson shelters.

We are very pleased to have raised £377.43 for the charity Whizz-kidz. A huge well done to all the staff and pupils for their hard work and a big thank you to everybody that donated and came along to support us and this fantastic charity.

On Burns day we had a visit from cliff who came in Traditional Scottish attire and played the Bagpipes for us.

Burns Night is the annual celebration of the birth of the Scottish national poet, Robert Burns on 25th January.

Burns night is a big Scottish celebration and is celebrated all around the Uk and the world. People usually celebrate by eating Haggis which is a Scottish speciality sausage made from a sheeps stomach. Men will wear kilts and the women wear dresses or shawls made from the family tartan.

We had great fun listening to Cliff play the Bagpipes whilst we danced around the playground!
